Coventry should have thought of this before.
Land Rover has a reputation for creating SUVs in a variety of sizes and uses. There’s a Land Rover for everyone, whether you are looking for a Land Rover to go on trails or urban crawling. The British automaker is known for making sturdy vehicles, but it didn’t make a pickup truck beyond the Defender.
Imagine a Land Rover Discovery pickup-truck. This is a great idea for the Discovery 4 (also called LR4 in the US) and would expand Land Rover’s utility beyond the Defender. Here’s a Mexican example if you have trouble visualizing.
The Discovery pickup truck was converted by VA-K Innovation. This Mexican company specializes in transformation. Because of its body-on frame construction, the Discovery 4 was an obvious choice. These guys converted the frame using the tubular steel method. They also integrated OEM parts whenever possible.
As you can see, the result is very impressive. We never imagined we would want a Discovery pickup truck until this one. The bed came with wood flooring which added a bit of elegance to the otherwise rugged design.
The Drive was informed by VA-K Innovation that the truck shown above is a unique creation. It’s powered by a 5.0-liter gasoline engine with 376 horsepower (275 kilowatts), and 376 pound-feet (376 Newton-meters) in pull.
Although pricing wasn’t revealed, it’s not hard to see why this truck is so popular. VA-K Innovation’s official Facebook page is open to anyone who’s as infatuated as we are. The company doesn’t intend to stop dreaming of the future.
