Couple's DIY Camper Van is Low Tech in the Best Way Possible

Although it’s business-like from the outside, inside you’ll find a comfortable space that has everything you need.

It’s one thing for a camper to be able to go on an adventure. It’s fine to do that. We’re just a little jealous of those who can enjoy this kind of experience on a regular basis. As this Exploring Other video demonstrates, building your own home-on wheels is an adventure in itself. We’ve seen many custom vanlife projects but this one is our favorite because of its simplicity and delightful packaging.

Ford Transit

. We mean creators when we use the term

Just what it says

These two, with occasional assistance from family members on some parts of the build, designed and built the Transit’s living area and interior. This includes a kitchen that has a functional sink and a bathroom. It also includes a modular bed that converts to a couch or dining table, as well as the tons of storage found throughout the van.

This camper isn’t the most striking. everywhere has many innovative solutions, not least the 12-gallon under sink water storage system that’s made up of two 6-gallon canisters. You can refill the water from the outside or, if you don’t have a hose, the canisters may be taken out and taken to the source. Gray water tanks are five-gallon buckets that can be drain through the floor. The toilet also has a separate container for liquid and solid waste, which can be disposed of easily. A shower is the only thing that’s missing, but there are 12 gallons of freshwater available so you don’t need to have it all.

Another Homemade Recipe:

You will be amazed at how simple the features can be controlled manually. You can adjust the bed position using ropes and tie downs. The table mounts on a simple, swivelable pipe stand. A manual foot pump is used to run fresh water into the sink. This ensures that you only get as much as you need. A pair of 100-watt solar panel provide enough power for all lights, fans, and small refrigerators. The Inergy Apex system manages it. It includes a lithium-ion batteries and has the ability to add additional batteries as needed.

According to the couple, it took them five months to build the van over two summers. It looks amazing and a great home to travel around the world.
