Discover the Ora Good Cat, China’s Cutest EV with a Funny Name

Although the face may look familiar, don’t let it fool you.

Although cats and cars are not a common combination, Jaguar might be the first name you think of. This cat, however, is not from Great Wall Motors. It’s a sub-brand called Ora’s Good Cat.

The name may sound funny, but the Ora Good Cat has a solid spec sheet. We have embedded the video review on the top of this page.

Let’s start with the biggest elephant in this room, the face. The Ora Good Cat is adorable and cute, but it has a lot in common with a flagship car from a German manufacturer called Porsche. This is not surprising. However, Great Wall may be able to design the Ora Good Cat’s future design, just like other Chinese automakers Geely or Chery.

The Good Cat (or Haomao, in Chinese) is a familiar face. It has a single motor powertrain that produces 143 horsepower (107 Kilowatts) as well as 155 pound-feet (220 Newton-meters). These are sent to the front wheels.

The Good Cat is a 3,323 pound (1,510 kg) in curb weight and can reach speeds of 93 mph (150 km/h). Two battery capacities are available to buyers: 47.8 kWh or 59.1kWh. This gives the Good Cat a range of 249 (401) and 311 (511 km), respectively.

The Good Cat comes with an autonomous driving tool called Ora Pilot Driving. This includes adaptive cruise control and automated throttle control. It also has intelligent curve assist.
