Dodge Durango R/T Plus 2022 Dodge Durango Adds a Few More Features And Luxuries

Since the beginning of time, the third-generation Dodge Durango has been available. The Durango joined the lineup in 2011 and has been updated and upgraded several times since. Dodge continues to update its models, despite being older. Dodge’s latest facelift was released last year.

The Durango’s front and rear bumpers were given a little nip and toe for the model year 2021. Headlight elements, grille textures and six new wheel designs are all new for this model year. Dodge gave their SUV a new instrument panel and the highest-spec models have a larger Uconnect touchscreen. Dodge isn’t done yet, as they are working on something for the 2022 model-year.

Dodge will soon add another trim level to its Durango lineup. The R/T Plus is a luxury trim that adds tech and technology features to the Durango’s sporty model. The R/T Plus builds on the GT Plus model’s success. The automaker may have decided to offer the R/T more money because of the success of the GT Plus model.

What does the R/T Plus offer SUV buyers? This is a safety and tech upgrade that’s more important for families who use the R/T Plus to transport their children. The R/T Plus comes standard with active safety systems such as Blind-Spot Detection and Forward-Collision Warning -Plus, Adaptive cruise control with stop function, Advanced Brake Assist and Lane Departure Warning -Plus.

The Durango R/T Plus model offers additional upgrades that make it feel more luxurious. This model comes with a sunroof, upgraded instrument panel, Nappa leather seats, and a 19-Speaker 825Watt Harman Kardon sound system. You can still choose to have the rear entertainment system. You may be able to identify some of these features. Some of these features have been inherited from the Citadel model.

The R/T Plus is not yet available for configuration. However, we expect it to be live soon. Pricing is as follows: rear-wheel-drive models start at $52,225, and all-wheel-drive models start at $54,825. The destination charge is $1,595. The Durango R/T Plus model will be in dealers by the end of this year. The Durango R/T Plus will be available in dealers later this year as a 2022 model. It is expected to use the Jeep Wagoneer frame for its next generation.
