Ex-Ice Cube 1992 Acura NSX Coupe Is For Sale

It’s not our cup of tea, but it’s still good.

The original Acura NX is still one of Japan’s most iconic cars. Ice Cube has been one of the most successful hip-hop artists in the world. The car in the attached gallery is the result of combining the two legends. It’s still available for purchase.

This is not your typical NSX. It’s not a regular NSX. First, it’s a unique convertible. We’d call it a full convertible. Since there are no reinforcements to the vehicle’s structure to offset the reduced rigidity, the modifications to the roof do not seem very professional.

It’s a very sleek looking machine. We prefer the factory wheels to this aftermarket set. It looks great, which is not surprising considering the low mileage of 45,575 miles. The interior is mostly stock except for an aftermarket infotainment device with a touchscreen integrated into the central console.

Although we don’t have a detailed history of this car, we do know that Ice Cube purchased it in 1992. Although we couldn’t find sufficient evidence to support the claim that Ice Cube and actor ordered the convertible transformation, it was reportedly done by Newport Convertible Engineering. Although we aren’t here to make any judgments, we think the NSX looks much better in a coupe.

Although it may not be the most beautiful sports car on the market, it is relatively affordable for a first-gen NSX. Classic Cars of Sarasota is listing the vehicle at $39,500. We are not certain that this is the final price, but we bet if $38,000 is paid you will drive away in a NSX convertible.
