Fast & Furious Live Cars Go To Auction

This is not your typical January sale.

After the show’s financial problems last year, the auctioneers are selling off the cars used in the Fast & Furious live arena show.

It was the show that was undoubtedly the most innovative car arena show. The show toured Europe in 2018 and was expected worldwide this year. After completing its European tour, it was placed into administration. All of the equipment, including a large collection of cars, used in the show are now being sold in an extensive online auction.

Among the lots are a few film-used cars – a Chevrolet LS “ramp car”, from Fast & Furious6 (above), and an original Nissan 350Z, from The Fast and the Furious . These vehicles were used in the movie’s Tokyo Drift . Both cars are up for grabs at starting prices of PS10,000 ($12851 at current exchange rate) and PS20,000 ($25703). An Lamborghini Jaguar V6-engined replica is also available with an opening bid at PS20,000 ($25703)

The show used original movie cars as well as cars designed by Dennis McCarthy, Fast & Furious’s movie car guru. McCarthy, who was involved in the franchise’s third installment, produced a trio of Dodge Chargers, including a replica of the star vehicle from The Feast of the Furious (below).

Many of the cars featured in the show were either built or purchased in the U.K. In the months before the premiere of the show in January last year, replicas of famous movie cars were meticulously recreated.

All three Ford-engined Honda Civics are up for sale. Also, a BenSopra Nissan GT-R (which was previously part of the Top Gear Live tour), a Toyota Supra and Mazda RX-7, Honda S2000 and Nissan Skyline GT-R are all covered by tens to thousands of LEDs (below); and a fleet ex-police Dodge Chargers.

It is worth noting, however, that all of the cars for sale are not road legal. They have all been modified to race-like safety and performance.
