They are only produced in total 1,598 units
The bad news is that both the Competizione Aperta and Ferrari 812 Competizione are currently sold out. Only 999 coupes and 599 versions of the convertible roof panels are being produced by the company.
Ferrari reached out to its clients and gave them the option of first refusal when it came to purchasing the new models. Enrico Galliera, chief marketing and commercial officer of the company, told the price of the 812 Competizione in Italy was EUR499,000 and the Aperta at EUR578,000.
Galliera told Top Gear that there is a higher demand for the car. One of his jobs is to explain to the other members of the family why they aren’t able to meet all of their needs.
The first quarter 2022 will see delivery of the hardtop. Apertas will not be delivered to buyers until the fourth quarter 2022.
Both models come with a naturally aspirated, 6.5-liter V12 This engine produces 830 horsepower and 510 pounds-feet (692 Newton meters) of torque. Peak power is at 9,250 rpm and the engine revs up until 9,500 rpm. The 7-speed dual-clutch, seven-speed automatic shifts five percent faster than that of the 812 Superfast.
The powertrain allows the coupe to reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.85 seconds, and 124 mph in 7.7 seconds. The maximum speed is 211 mph. Ferrari has not yet published these numbers for the Aperta, but they expect that the performance will suffer from the extra weight.
Carbon fiber is used to make the Aperta’s removable roofing panel. The coupe’s styling is slightly different. The rear deck has no cascading louvers, and the model uses roll hoops instead.
