Ferrari Testarossa Restomod Looks Original But Can Go 201 MPH

There is nothing better than 1980s style combined with modern technology.

Officine Fioravanti teased that it Ferrari Testarossa Restomod back in May. The photos show the modernized 1980s supercar, which the Swiss company has now released.

Fioravanti still uses the iconic flat 12-liter engine from Testarossa. It produces 510 horsepower (380 Kilowatts) as well as 442 pound-feet (599 Newton meters) of torque. The original version of the engine had a standard European output of 385 horsepower (287 kW) or 361 lb-490 Nm. It is not yet known what modifications will be made to increase the power.

The claimed top speed of the testarossa is 201 miles an hour (324 km per hour). The Testarossa was originally able to reach speeds of around 180 mph (290 km/h).

This Testarossa has more than just power. Fioravanti also adds antilock brakes to the car and traction control. The car is equipped with electronically adjustable Ohlins shocks and race-spec Brembo brakes to slow it down.

You can’t tell from the outside that the Testarossa has been modified. Most notable is the replacement of the 16-inch original wheels with pieces measuring 17 inches in front and 18 inches in rear.

Originally, 16-inch wheels were used. The Fioravanti Testarossa now has 17-inch wheels at its front and 18-inch at the rear. They are fitted with racing tires by the company.

The company can still shed 287 pounds (130 kg) from the classic Ferrari even with these upgrades. Fioravanti originally wanted to lose 265 pounds (120 kg) from the Testarossa. Evidently, the company discovered a few other things that could help it save weight.

The company replaces the original plastic parts with aluminum components inside. Apple CarPlay is now supported by the stereo. Fioravanti keeps the original car phone, but modifies it using Bluetooth to allow a person to make calls.

Fioravanti’s Testarossa restomod seems to have the perfect combination of traditional looks and modern amenities. We hope that it enjoys a lot of time on the roads.
