For the purists: Ford Fits F100 Pickup with Electric Mach-E Power

Parts of the cabin have been remodeled to look like they are straight from Mach-E.

Ford F-100 Eluminator is a concept that takes a 1978 Ford F-100 pickup and adds an Eluminator electric motor to make it a retro version the F-150 Lightning. The truck will be unveiled at the SEMA Show.

Two of Ford’s Eluminator electric motors power the pickup, generating 480 horsepower (358 Kilowatts) and 634 pounds-feet (860 Newton meters) of torque. Each axle has one motor. These parts and output are identical to the Mustang Mach E GT Performance Edition. You do not have details about the range or battery.

“The F-100 Eluminator Concept is a preview of our support for customers as they go electric and embrace zero-tailpipe emission performance even for their heritage vehicles,” stated Eric Cin, Ford’s Global Director of Vehicle Personalization and Accessories and Licensing.

The Ford F-100 Eluminator was built by MLe Racecars and received a custom chassis from Roadster Shop. The truck’s body is in Avalanche Gray, with Cerakote Copper details on the “FORD”, lettering, headlight surrounds and tailgate surround. Forgeline 19-inch, three piece billet aluminum wheels give the pickup a classic look. The panel behind the driver’s front fender conceals the charging port.

Open the hood to reveal the engine under a transparent panel. The diagram and bag for charging the truck are stored in a small area at the front.

The interior is being completely redesigned. The dashboard has a large screen and a new center console with a rotary gearshift. You can also modify the dashboard with a billet aluminum design and bucket seats with avocado-tanned leather upholstery.

Ford now sells Eluminator electric motor to customers. One motor produces 281 horsepower (210 kW) or 317 lb-ft (335 Nm) of torque. It is based on Mach-E GT’s motor. The package costs $3,900 and can be ordered right now. This package includes a high voltage motor to traction harness, low-voltage harness/connector and vent tube assembly.

The Eluminator offer currently does not include the control system or traction inverter. According to the company’s announcement, it is working with some of the top performance manufacturers to develop these components and add them to its catalog.
