Ford Bronco 2021 Gets Five Adventure Concepts to Mark SUV’s Birthday

The SUV’s 55th Anniversary is celebrated by three small Sport models and two big Broncos.

Ford has created five concepts to highlight the SUV’s outdoor-yetiness for the Bronco’s Birthday. The Blue Oval, which announced that there would be more 200 accessories from Ford for the large Bronco, and 100+ for its Bronco Sport counterparts, is now showing how both the full-size and unibody models can be configured to meet different needs.

The two-door Badlands-based Trail Rig concept, pictured below, is the Bronco. It features a large number of neat features including tube doors and an impressive pulling power of 10,000 pounds. You’ll also see the light bar and Yakima rack mounted on the roof of the off-roader. The recovery boards and recovery kits round out the upgrades, while the interior features heavy-duty floormats.

Next is the Bronco Fishing Guide concept, based on Outer Banks trim. It’s designed for professional and amateur anglers, and includes a Yakima roof rack and a fishing rod holder. This SUV is four-door and features a soft-top first row to allow open-air experiences. It also comes with an auxiliary light and a safari bar.

The Bronco Sports is the next stop. This Trail Rig, which is based in Badlands, comes loaded with Yakima goodies like a high-lift jack, axe holders and crossbars. It also has recovery/off-road gear mountings and roof racks. Ford Performance supplied the jerrycans and recovery boards. The one-inch lift kit and nudge bar and LED off-road lighting complete the package.

Bronco Sport Tow RZR was also a Badlands concept. It then received Ford’s optional Class II trailer tow package to tow a Polaris RZR XP Turbo 1000. For additional storage, the vehicle has a Yakima cargo rack with basket and a Yakima cargo box.

The fifth concept, Bronco Sport Off Road Adventure Patrol, is also based on Badlands trim. This preview shows the crew vehicles that will participate in the Ford-organized Offroader experience events. The first of four events will be held next summer in Austin, Texas. It will be open for owners of the Bronco in both four- and two-door versions as well as the Bronco Sport trim in

Badlands.
