Ford Bronco gets a taller brush guard that doesn’t hide grille letters

It’s important to let everyone know that it’s a Bronco.

Although the new Ford Bronco appears to be almost here, it has been a long journey. The supplier-relatedissues and COVID-19 issues will all make it to the dealerships by June. It’s a huge understatement to say that there is high demand for the new Bronco. And, as it turns out, there has been a customer-requested design modification for an optional add on. this was before.

This is Bronco Nation’s word. They have close ties to the Blue Oval. There were several photos recently that showed the Bronco’s improved brush guard (aka safari bars) which now rises slightly higher than the old version. Why did this change happen? Some people were not happy with the bar covering the BRONCO letters in the grille. Bronco Nation provided the photo at the top that shows the new bar and the image below which features the old bar.

We are tempted to be a little crass about this, because no is mistakenly identifying the Bronco as another vehicle simply because the letters in the grille have been slightly obscured at certain angles. We won’t let this stop us though. Branding is important for both vehicle owners and companies. Ford decided to have Wrangler lettering remove from the Bronco’s Goodyear-sourced tires. It’s not like raising the bar is a major design change. Ford is a great company that listens to its customers and gives them what they want.

Is this really what they want? Browsing through the thread on the Bronco Nation forums reveals mixed responses. The thread’s top poll shows that opinions are almost evenly split with a small majority still not enthusiastic about the new design. This informal poll only covers a small percentage of the 125,000 Bronco salesreported Ford. But it points to one undisputed truth. The Bronco remains the most talked about vehicle in off-road, and buyers are eager to purchase one.

Let’s hope there aren’t more delays that force deliveries later in the year. Ford could be forced to make some changes in the future, but it’s hard to predict what.
