Ford Bronco Orders Are Rejected for Hardtop

This isn’t the Bronco’s first delay.

Ford announced late last year that it required to delay the 2021 Bronco production. Ford informed Motor1.com that the supplier who was supposed to deliver the hardtop roofs of the SUVs had production problems. It won’t affect the entire Bronco manufacturing.

Customers who ordered the black painted modular roof or dual-top roof options will be affected by this delay. It will not be available until the 2022 model-year. Customers have the option to switch their Broncos to the carbonized gray molded in color hardtop roof, or the black softtop roof (except for Wildtrack and two-door models). Or wait until 2022. Customers can modify their orders until April 8. Ford has tried to make the situation more bearable for customers who are still waiting.

Ford Accessories will give customers who have ordered the top and switch up to 200,000 FordPass rewards points (a $1,000 value). This applies to all First Edition models, as well as those who ordered delayed tops and switches for the 2021 model years. Ford has already offered customers $300 in FordPass points to cover the earlier delays. Ford also stated that it will keep 2021 pricing until the 2022 model year. All orders and reservations must be made by March 19. If you wait until 2022, you will be able to choose from new colors and special editions.

Ford will also offer the sound deadening headliner for $495, which is a great way to ease the pain. Customers who have ordered it already will receive a $495 discount. Customers who are still waiting will receive a $250 coupon for one of the four Bronco Offroads, where they can get behind the wheel in a Bronco. Ford is unable to control the situation, but they are working hard to make customers happy. It also stated today that it’s converting over 65 percent of its Bronco reservation into orders. So, it appears that a slight delay in delivery is not too serious.
