A small van with off-road capabilities can use the familiar SUV face.
There was speculation that a whole line of Bronco-branded Bronco vehicles might be launched when Ford launched its new Bronco. The Bronco Sports is already available, but these renderings by designer Samir Sadikhov take the off-roader in an entirely different direction.
Vanlife is a very popular brand, so why not make an off-road van that’s based on it? Sadikhov’s Bronco Van design is very straightforward. It starts with the SUV’s grille, and ends with the round headlights at its front. Although the overhang is quite short, as it should with a van of the proper size, the Bronco’s face is not the only design element at play here.
The Bronco’s slab-sided exterior can be seen through the windows. It looks especially good at the back, which is very similar to a Bronco hardtop. The fender flares are straight out of the Sasquatch package.
Instead of limiting yourself to a few renderings of the Bronco Van, there are many options. The Bronco Van’s brown-and-orange theme is a nod to the Free Wheelin’ program for Broncos from the late 1970s. Others show a more modern look. An overlanding van can’t be complete without matching trailers ripped from Broncos.
Although the ride height and aggressive offroad tires may make it difficult to get in, the van’s rectangular shape with enough ground clearance for a tent under it pushes all the right buttons. These renderings are not official so you may never see it in person. We can still dream of a Bronco van, and this vision might spark interest from Dearborn designers.
