Ford’s Fiesta-based upcoming ‘baby” SUV was spotted in North America as a Fiesta Mule with raised chassis testing.
These spy photos show the prototype chassis for the Ford mini SUV, which is based on Fiesta.
These spy photos were taken in the United States, as the Michigan-licensed mule seen here was captured. This model will not be sold in the United States, as it will compete with entries from Europe into the new compact SUV segment like Opel’s baby Antara and the MINI Countryman.
It is obvious that this mule rides on a raised chassis. Our spy photographers also managed to capture an up-close photo of the undercarriage, where you can see parts of the new suspension.
We don’t know much about this Fiesta-based SUV. However, we can expect it will share engines with Fiesta, including variants the 1.6 liter petrol or the 1.6 Liter TDCi diesel.
