You will pay $50 for an EZE down tailgate assistance
Soon, the Ford Maverick is going to be available at dealers. Ford offers a wide range of accessories for customers to customize their compact pickup truck. We now know the approximate cost of these accessories.
An Maverick Truck Club forum post revealed three pages of accessories. Most of them are either Ford-licensed or dealer-installed. This information is believed to have been obtained through dealers. Many of these accessories are not listed in Ford’s online Maverick configurator. We will be taking a look at the pricing of a wide variety of accessories. Are the items available in line with the low-cost image Ford has created for the Maverick so far?
You can find the full list at the forum posting. Here are some notable items that are common to customized pickup trucks. Advantage sells a soft-folding cover for $559 and two hard-bed covers for $1,159. Truxedo offers a cheaper soft-roll bed cover for $369. You can also choose from a variety of styles, ranging in price from $139.99 to $289, if you wish to protect your bed underneath the cover. Lund bed extenders are available for $369. However, if you need a full pickup cap that will cost you, it will be more expensive. The cheapest option is the SnugPro commercial caps at $3,029. SnugTop sport caps are available in a variety of Maverick colors and start at $3,449.
Dee Zee’s tailgate assistance system and molded splash protectors are the most affordable, at $50 each. But, this only covers one pair of splashguards, so you’ll need to buy a complete set for all four wheels. There are many options for aesthetic upgrades, including fender flares and molding kits that can be used to enhance the Maverick’s appearance.
Maverick production was recently started at Ford’s Hermosillo manufacturing plant. Lariat Lariat with turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost four cylinder and all-wheel drive was the first truck to go on the line. This powertrain combination could become the dominant Maverick in the near future, as new Maverick Hybrid orders are not being scheduled. The first Maverick deliveries are expected to be completed within weeks, barring any further delays caused by COVID-19 or the global shortage of microchips.
