In February, the Ranger Raptor world premier will take place.

Raptors are coming! That’s not a Jurassic World catchphrase. The automotive world is home to raptors, which include the F150 Raptor and Ranger Raptor .

Two Raptor prototypes are captured in action in spy photos taken at Ford’s Detroit headquarters. However, the photographer is focusing on the Ranger. While the previous generation model had a Raptor variant available in other markets, the new Ranger is now likely to be offered in the US.

This prototype is our favorite so far. It makes sense considering the Ranger’s new styling was revealed to the world in November. The Raptor will ride higher on an upgraded suspension, and be adorned with off-road gear like skidplates. Although the grille’s central bar is still covered, you can bet that bold FORD branding is behind it. Dual exhaust tips extend from the corners of the bumper to the rear.

Rumours claim that the exhaust pipes are connected to an EcoBoost V6 rather than the four-cylinder engine in Ranger Raptors. It’s unclear if it’s the twin turbocharged 2.7-liter engine used in the Bronco or the 3.0-liter V6 found in the Ford Explorer ST. This would give the Ranger Raptor 400 horsepower. However, we heard rumors that Ford may eventually make a V8-powered Ranger RaptorR.

The Bronco Raptor was also captured on camera. There is very little camouflage to hide the vehicle underneath. The FORD grille can be seen from all angles, and the body-hugging wrapping cannot conceal the Bronco Raptor’s wide stance and large fender flares. It’s not the first time that we have seen a Bronco Raptor with such minimal covers. This suggests that a debut might be in the near future.

We know that the 2023 Ranger Raptor is coming to global markets in February. Ford revealed it via a QR-code teaser that was embedded during the reveal of the standard Ranger. This could be the right time to release not just one, but two Raptors to the entire world. We will soon see.
