Ford Ranger Raptor New Model Imagined in Renderings Based on Spy Photos

In a few weeks, the world premiere of the new Ranger Raptor is expected.

The new Ford Ranger Raptor has arrived. The Blue Oval made sure we all knew about it last year through a QR-code teaser.

While we wait for the official launch, Kolesa friends imagine what the next Ranger Raptor might look like through these renderings. These images are unofficial and were taken from spy photos of the gnarly pickup. We think they are close.

These renderings follow the upcoming Ford Ranger design philosophy. The new Ranger’s C-shaped DRLs, square corners and non-simple taillight graphics are all in line with it. Based on the previous model, the only differences are the front bumper design, and the FORD wordmark at the grille. This unofficial rendering shows the proportions of the bumper, as well as the housing for the fog-lamp.

A similar wordmark can be found at the rear. It is located over a blacked out portion. The rear bumper does not have the stepboard found on the regular Ranger. This feature is also absent on the prototype on Thai roads.

The powertrain configuration of the Ranger Raptor is the most important information. Based on the teaser video from last year, a V6 gasoline engine could be made with two turbos. A turbodiesel V6 could also be a candidate for other markets.

Ford is working on a V8 Ranger RaptorR. We aren’t expecting that one to be confirmed, however.

The biggest question of all is whether the Ranger Raptor will ever be made available for American customers. We will have to wait and watch.
