Ford Transit Connect Micro Camper Is Amazingly Well Equipped

This compact rig packs many features into a small footprint.

The Ford Transit Connect has a small footprint by American standards. This makes it a stylish and compact camper. This video gives a full tour of the rig.

This Transit Connect looks a lot like the other Transit Connects you might see on the road. A fan and 100-watt solar panel are the only notable differences.

The inside is where the magic happens. Wood paneling is now on the walls, and laminate on floors. The cabin looks bright thanks to the white and mint green colors.

The driver’s side has a bench that doubles up as a bed. It pulls out to double its size. It measures 34 inches (86.36 cmimeters wide) by 72 inches (182.9 cmimeters). To complete the vehicle’s construction, the cushions and bedding are still not in stock.

The platform for the bed is accessible from the rear doors by opening the rear doors. It has two 110-volt outlets at the base. A pull-out platform can be used as a table, or for food preparation.

The platform beside the bed can be used as a nightstand. You can also open the lower section to find a small cassette toilet.

A small counter is included as well as a sink and six-gallon tank to hold the gray and fresh water. The faucet can be extended outside by using a magnetic hook. A drawer hides a tiny refrigerator/freezer.

The front passenger seat is a great example of clever space use. If you don’t need to use this space, a custom-made divider can create two levels of storage.
