Four Hummer EV Prototypes Seen Dancing in Public with CrabWalk

That’s just one way you can play with the tech toy.

It is amazing how fast time flies. GMC revealed last year that they don’t have a fully functional Hummer EVO prototype. However, that is now changing – four Hummer EV prototypes were spotted on Utah’s highway by YouTube’s the Fast Lane Truck.

They are fully functional units. The video above shows the Hummer EVs using their Crab Walk to move diagonally between their lanes. We thought it was a lot of fun, and we expect to see owners doing the same once their Hummer Ev Edition 1 units arrive.

Although this is not the first time that we have seen the Hummer EV crawl, the official videos of the past (such as the one shown above) were made digitally. In February , a video showing a working prototype performing the feat was made. However, it was done on a snowy GM Proving Ground in a controlled setting.

GMC did not reveal the Hummer EV’s four wheel steering and Crab Walk features when it launched the electric truck. It should prove useful in difficult off-road situations, as later reports confirmed. However, if the owner is looking to use it in a slower-paced driving situation, then what’s holding him back?

We don’t know if it’s a party trick or a useful tool, but the first Hummer Electric Vehicle production units will arrive in Fall 2021. Each of the $112 595 Edition 1 specials will be identically equipped and fully loaded. They will also come in white with a Lunar Horizon interior.
