Gamer goes mental, turns his actual Lambo into an Xbox Controller

Although it’s not practical, we applaud the effort.

Most people who play sim racing games like Gran Turismo and Forza dream of driving the exotic cars that they see. We have the opposite situation here: an exotic car owner who wants to transform his Lamborghini Aventador in to a huge Xbox One controller. This is insane. It’s silly. This is the closest you can get to driving a Lamborghini in Forza Motorsport 7.

This is a Lamborghini real-life functional Lamborghini that has been turned into a huge racing simulator to simulate what it would be like to drive one. We recommend that you don’t think too much about it and simply enjoy the absurdity.

Gamer goes mental, turns his actual Lambo into an Xbox Controller

The person in question is simply known as POG. Before you ask why he would turn a kick-ass supercar to a controller, he also owns a Ferrari, and a McLaren. According to his Instagram account, it’s not like the man is looking for real-life action. This video shows him racing to get a new copy of Forza and then racing home in his Lambo.

Things get really interesting once they are put back in the garage. There are several jump cuts that show wires and other things that look like computers. The roof has a projector. The Aventador’s front wheels are able to turn because there appear to be pads underneath them. The plugs are made. Something is taped to one side of the car. The Xbox One is then placed on the Lambo’s engine covers. POG then puts on the racing gear and climbs in the car to race a digital Lambo until he crashes.

Although we aren’t tech-savvy, there has been some clever hacking. The Lamborghini has been lit inside and out. Apart from functional steering, the start button of the car has been reconfigured to allow the game to be controlled. Although it’s quite a gaming setup, we couldn’t help but notice that the Aventador’s actual tachometer isn’t moving. You’re being lazy, POG.

Ah, to be wealthy.
