Generation Gap: 1968 Charger Drag Races 2018 Version

These two muscles can be divided into 50 years.

We love mismatched drag racing. Even though there is a connection between them, they are not perfect matches. What about a classic muscle versus a modern one? Yes, please!

This drag race was filmed by Wheels on YouTube. The race pits a 1968 Charger against a 2018 Charger. This is a gap of five decades in engineering advancement.

Generation Gap: 1968 Charger Drag Races 2018 Version

In drag racing, that doesn’t really mean anything. Although we’ve seen older cars smash into significantly newer vehicles with ease, this is a close race. The 1968 Charger is on the left, which we have seen race a Dodge Demon. It’s still a modified version that can run a quarter mile in 12.82 seconds at 113.99 mph. This is a good result.

The new 2018 Charger is visible on the right in a stock version. This car should be capable of running the quarter-mile in the 12s with a competent driver. This is not the case because the driver missed the green light slightly, making the race even more exciting.

We aren’t going to spoil this drag race, so be sure to check out the entire video at the top.
