Wolf Racing will build seven vehicles as part of its 40th Anniversary.

Since the Ford Mustang became global, it has been a big hit with tuning companies all over the globe. Wolf Racing, which is based in Neuenstein (Germany), is the latest company to take on the Pony Car. The tuner has some experience with Ford and ties to several racing programs at various national and international motorsport venues. Wolf Racing’s special edition “One of 7”, will use this experience, which is, as the name implies, very limited.

Wolf Racing’s Mustang will also be extremely powerful. It started life as a Euro-spec Mustang GT. The 5.0-liter V8 is equipped with a variety of Ford high-performance parts, sourced from the States. It is not clear what this means, but the package includes an Edelbrock supercharger and 735 horsepower (548 Kilowatts) along with 649 pound feet (880 Newton-meters). Wolf Racing claims that the power upgrade can be used with either the Mustang’s six or ten speed manual transmissions. It will accelerate the Mustang to 62 mph (100 km/h), in less than four seconds. Because a stock Mustang GT has already reached that benchmark speed, we suspect traction may be an issue.

Wolf Racing’s Mustang comes with a limited slip differential and an adjustable coilover suspension upgrade. This allows for a 1.18 inch (30 millimeter) reduction in ride height. A new set of 21-inch Wolf Racing wheels, shod in rubber-band-spec Michelin Pilot Sport rear tires, fills any remaining wheel gap. The exterior looks are enhanced by a graphics package and carbon fiber spoiler. Sports seats with embroidered headrests and a sports steering column and “One of 7” badge inside the car make it unique.

Wolf Racing will only build seven examples for its 40th anniversary. But they won’t come cheap. To put one of these special “Stang” cars in your garage, it will cost EUR94,440. That’s more than six figures in U.S currency.
