Get this Chevy Caprice Wagon with matching trailer, Rule All Estates

All you need is one roof.

The big B-bodies of were the last great American station wagons. The Buick Roadmaster and Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser were all body-on frame throwbacks to an era gone by. They had a V8 engine at the front and turned wheels at the rear. They were discontinued in 1996. However, they have since gained a loyal following from long-roof lovers. But, someone decided that the Caprice’s 1993 roof was too long. That’s okay with us.

We’re actually in love about that. Your author was once a B-body estate, a 1994 Roadmaster with faux wooden sides. But this monochrome Chevrolet wagon with matching trailer is a totally different kind of wagon love. A Caprice grille, front fascia and headlights were incorporated into the back half of another Caprice wagon. Flat windshield was created by a Dodge Caravan’s rear hatch and glass. The same fold-down seats were used in the wagon are found inside. That’s according to Bring a Trailer. This rig is up for sale.

The trailer was manufactured in Texas, according to the auction. However, its age is not known. It is identical to the car, down to the exterior color as well as the gray cloth interior. The rear-facing flip-up rear seats and the folding cloth bench seat are included. However, we doubt law enforcement will be able to approve of passengers traveling in the trailer. Curiously, in the comments to the auction, the seller mentioned that the power windows on trailer doors still work. This is some serious attention to detail.

The car itself is in excellent condition considering that it’s only 28 years old. It has 91,000 miles and shows no stains. These cars weren’t intended to be used as fun-runs for occasional use. The Caprice wagon could carry eight people comfortably with the flip-up seat. At least one Motor1.com author can confirm that a full-size pool table can fit in the back of the Caprice wagon with all rear seats folded down. Guess who it is.

As of this article’s posting on February 4, there are only six days left in the auction. Bidding is currently at $4,500. Although these cars have a cult-like following, the 1993 model doesn’t come with the 260-horsepower LT-1 engine from the C4 Corvette. This could make some buyers turn away. However, the car’s clean exterior and cool trailer suggest that the final price will be significantly higher. You can view the entire auction at the source link.
