A simple SUV until you get the hood.
The Chevy S-10 Blazer, a modest two-door SUV, was released in the 1990s and rivaled the Ford Bronco. The old Blazers were considered great off-roaders, unlike the current Blazer crossover. This particular example is in excellent condition and is available for sale.
According to the listing’s honest description, S-10 Blazer was in an accident at 11,000 mile in 1994. The insurance company paid nearly $6,000. to purchase it. It was also restored in the same year and made into the Chevy S-10 Blazer we see today.
The original engine was kept as the totaled unit needed only its bottom cladding to be replaced. The Typhoon shares a modified Vortec engine from the GMC Jimmy.
If all Typhoon upgrades have been completed, and the Mitsubishi turbocharger is installed, this S-10 Blazer should produce 280 horsepower (209 Kilowatts) as well as 350 pound-feet (475 Newton meters) of torque. The most powerful S-10 Blazer ever seen in showrooms was only 160 horsepower (120 kW).
You might be tempted to reconsider your judgement the next time you pass a white S-10 Blazer. The Sleeper King is on sale at $23,988 with nearly 29,000 miles. It’s only a matter time before someone buys it.
