However, the roof-mounted Ram-Air system allows for power up to 725 HP (541 kW) at high speed. The mill produces 358 pound-feet (485 Newton meters) of torque. A six-speed paddle-shift gearbox drives the power. There will be two gear sets. The one will reach speeds of over 200 miles an hour (322 km per hour). The other one will have a shorter gearing to allow for tighter circuits, and the maximum speed will be 170 mph (274 km/h).

The vehicle weighs only 1,872 pounds (852 kgs), and this power is more than enough. The V12 engine is 35 pounds (16 kg) lighter than the standard T.50. These changes include the use of titanium valves in the mill and the elimination of variable valve timing systems. Both the intake and exhaust are also different.

The Niki Lauda has a fin running down its back, which improves high-speed stability. A rear wing is also on the tail. The rear fan measures 15.75 inches (400 millimeters) and can produce up to 3,307 lb (1,500 kg) of downforce. Aerodynamics are also improved by a larger diffuser. To incorporate dive planes, the front has a large splitter that wraps around its sides.
