This is a smaller number of cars than the previous franchise entries.
Gran Turismo 7 will be released March 4, 2022 for the PlayStation 5. The latest trailer shows that there are more than 400 cars available to drive in this game. They cover the entire history and evolution of the automobile.
A trailer shows off many of them. A few shots of vehicles such as the Ferrari 330 P4 Spyder and Jaguar XJR-13 are shown, along with the Porsche 917, Sauber Mercedes C9 and many others. It doesn’t matter what performance machine you are passionate about, it’s likely to be here. If Gran Turismo 7 has any similarity to Gran Turismo Sport there will be downloadable machines to add to your car collection.
Gran Turismo 7 launched with over 400 cars. This is far less than the 1,197 vehicles in Gran Turismo6, or the more 700 in Gran Turismo4. Anyone who has played games in this franchise will know that almost all of the entries have identical machines.
Let’s just hope that Polyphony Digital, the developer of the over 400 vehicles, curated them so that they truly span the gamut of cars and not just six Nissan GTR variants with very minor differences.
Although this trailer gives us a better idea about the cars, it is still difficult to determine which courses they will be racing on. This video clearly shows the Le Mans circuit, so we can cross that off our list. The possibility of the Nurburgring Nordschleife is also very likely, judging by the previous games. The game developer often creates fantasy locations that go with the real-world locations.
It is a bit geeky to mention, but Polyphony Digital also has a partnership with Brembo brakes in order to integrate the famous stoppers into Gran Turismo 7. While most players wouldn’t notice that the calipers on their cars are not branded, the developers of the game pay great attention to details.
