Gunther Werks Shows Off Vibrant Viola Purple Porsche 993 Speedster

The body’s curves are highlighted by the dark purple paint.

Gunther Werks transforms the 993-generation Porsche 911 into special machines. This Viola metallic purple Speedster is the latest company commission. It looks incredible even in these renderings.

The exterior of dark purple is striking. The lower section of each side has lighter stripes. Exposed carbon fiber trim is also found on the windshield surround, windshield surround, details of the rear deck nacelles, and parts of the ducktail spoiler.

The seats are made with the purple piping and Pepita houndstooth fabric. Gray Alcantara, leather and other materials are also available. You can also find more carbon fiber exposed.

These brothers, @porschelifenyc & @lloyd.rosenman are the ones who commissioned this build. The 911 Speedster’s personal styling is almost complete, with some minor tweaks they request.

Gunther Werks Speedster is powered by a 4.0-liter flat six that produces 435 horsepower (324 Kilowatts) as well as 335 pound-feet (454 Newton meters) of torque. At 7,800 rpm, the engine’s redline was reached. The engine runs through a Getrag G50 6-speed manual transmission with custom gear ratios and a rear differential with carbon clutch. It locks to 40%.

Carbon fiber is used in almost every other body panel than the doors. The shocks have external reservoirs and the nose lift is hydraulic. Brembo six-piston calipers are at the front, and four-piston stoppers in the rear. Speedster’s wheels are made of three-piece aluminum and have a five-spoke design that evokes the Fuchs classic style.

Porsche made only two authentic 911 Speedsters. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, 911 designer. Jerry Seinfeld ordered the second. These Gunther Werks examples, despite their high prices, are making sleek, roofless vehicles more affordable for those with large pockets.
