Hennessey VenomF5 Is a Little More Stiffer Than A Bugatti Chiron

It’s all about the numbers.

Unless you live under a rock you have probably heard about the Bugatti Chrome that managed to break through the 300-mile per hour barrier last September. It left an indelible impression on not only the French carmaker but also on the competition. Bugatti has stopped chasing records. Hennessey is the one manufacturer to have noticed and decided to do something about it. After building their own supercars and hypercars as well as tuning other vehicles for better performance, Hennessey has shared some details from Top Gear’s website regarding the Venom F5, which is the successor to the highly acclaimed Venom GT.

You’ll need every bit of torsional rigidity possible when you have at least 1,817 horsepower, 1,193 pound feet torque and a twin turbo V8 6.6-liter engine. The Venom F5 is a little ahead of the rest in terms of hypercar pissing. There will only be 24 hypercars built and half of them will go to the United States. They’re apparently selling well at a cool $1.6 million price, with testing expected to begin in 2020.
