Henry Ford’s Great Great-Grandson is Leaving The Company

Henry Ford III will be leaving his current position but remains on our board of directors.

Henry Ford III has seen everything when it comes working for the Ford Motor Company. Ford joined the family business in 2006. He has been involved in labor relations and product planning. He resigned his position as an investor relations officer after being elected to the American carmaker’s board.

Ford’s fifth generation stated, “After 15 years at Ford, I believe new perspectives will help me guide our great company with increased objectivity and an improved ability to constructively criticize our strengths and flaws.”

Contrary to popular belief Henry Ford III was not always associated with the company. In 2002, he graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor’s in English literature. He said that he was always attracted to the family business, even during his brief stint as a math teacher and history teacher.

Ford said, “I have witnessed the magic that occurs when we work together to provide the products and services our customers love.”

Edsel Ford I, the great-grandson and great-grandson Henry Ford, recently resigned from his 33-year tenure on the Ford Motor Company’s board of directors. Edsel is currently involved in the brand’s sustainability, finance, and innovation committees. Henry will have a great asset in Edsel as he transitions to his new role on its board of directors.

Automotive News was told by a spokesperson that the vacant role in investor relations would be filled internally. His next position is still unknown after he left his job with the company. It’s wonderful to see the Ford family still a driving force behind Blue oval.
