Here’s how the tiny 2022 Ford Maverick compares to Ranger, F150

What place does the Maverick go in Ford’s expanding lineup of trucks?

Ford is making a big deal about their new small truck, Maverick. It comes with a pickup-like unibody construction and a standard hybrid engine that can get up to 40 mpg in the city. The pickup also has a starting price of less than $20,000. The new Maverick is a great addition to Ford’s truck line.

You can choose from small, medium, large, and extra large sizes

The Ford Maverick, which measures in at 199.7inches long and 68.7inches tall, is the smallest truck in this range. The “compact” Ranger measures in at 199.7 inches long and 2.8 inches higher, while the F150 dwarfs it by 28.0 inches in its length and 8.3 inches height. The F250 Super Duty is naturally the largest of the bunch. It outsizes the Maverick by 66.5 in length and 12.8 in height.

The bed measures in at 4.5 feet for a truck of this size. Ford Ranger bed sizes are 5.0 feet in SuperCrew models and 6.0 feet for SuperCab models. F-150 has three bed options: a 5.5-foot bed or a 6.5-foot bed. Depending on the configuration, the F-150 can have a large 8.0-foot bed. F-250 has bed options that range from 6.75 feet to 8.0 feet.

The Maverick is almost identical to the Ranger range. It comes in three basic flavors: XL and XLT. There’s also an option for a toughened-up FX4 package. The FX4 package adds all-terrain tires and a tuned suspension to the Maverick. It also includes off-road-focused driving modes and hill-decent control. Only option that this truck doesn’t have is a stronger Tremor trim. We may see it in the future.

The Maverick has a slightly smaller range than the F-150 or F-250. Both trucks have the same trims as Maverick, as well as King Ranch Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Limited. Raptor, Lightning trims are also available on the new F-150.
