The Civic doesn’t scrape unless it is climbing rocks.
You may have seen this wild Honda Civic once before. Although it’s not a new build this video from BoostedBoiz gives us a fresh look at the off-roader. This is a departure from the usual aftermarket Honda projects, which often see cars crushed to the ground. This Civic is not afraid of speed bumps. And the ocean, for that matter. We’ll get to that in a moment.
This Civic’s era had all-wheel drive, which means it can turn all four wheels. The RT4WD used a six speed manual with an extremely low first gear. This allowed the wagon to be quite agile despite its limited power. This video shows this, as it takes us through some Florida mudholes to reach the ocean near Bradenton. Although the car is close to shore, it can navigate through the water up to its hood. The interior is liquid-friendly and has drain holes as well as a snorkel for engine.
The custom-made half-doors provide little protection against flying mud for their occupants. We mean no protection. It’s all part of the experience, and Motor1.com readers know that we love off-road builds like these. The only question is: Can we see an Acura Integra Type-R lifted? You know you want it.
