Honda NSX Type S costs $254,000 in Japan, where only 30 are available

It starts at $169,000.500 in the USA.

Just days after its introduction, the first Acura Type S model was sold at auction for $1.1 million. The upgraded supercar will cost US customers less than the Japanese buyers, who paid $1.1 million for it.

The NSX Type S will be priced at Y=27.95m in Japan or $254,000 at current exchange rates. This supercar comes with a lot of upgrades and a high price tag. The NSX price includes a 10% consumption tax. The company intends to build only 350 NSX Type S models (349 if the one sold at auction is excluded), and only 30 will reach Japan.

The NSX Type S is priced at $169,500 in the US. Equipping the Lightweight Package increases the price to $182,500. This price increase includes more power from the twin-turbocharged, 3.5-liter V6 engine and three electric motors. 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts), and 492 poundfeet (667 Newton meters) of torque are now available. This is a slight increase from the regular NSX’s 573 hp (427 kW), and 476 lb-645 Nm. Three hundred of the 350 units are being brought to the US.

The Lightweight Package includes carbon-ceramic brakes and a carbon fiber engine clover. It also comes with carbon interior trim. This helps to reduce the car’s curbweight by 57.8 lbs (26.2 kilograms). The NSX Type S has a wider front grille opening and carbon fiber exterior bits. The Japanese automaker says that orders will begin in July 2022 and applications for purchases in Japan are open on Thursday, September 2. Acura takes orders for those who live in the US.
