German tuner HPerformance has created a powerful power package for the Volkswagen Golf IV R32.

German tuner HPerformance has created a huge power package for the Volkswagen Golf IV.

In August 2002, the Golf R32 was released. It featured a Phaeton-sourced V6 engine of 3.2-liter capacity. This produced a staggering 240 HP (177kW) and 320Nm (236 lbft), which allowed for a sprint of 0-60 mph (0.6 seconds) and top speed of 153 mph (247km/h). Twelve years later, the hot hatchback received a new crankshaft and Precision turbocharger, while the displacement was reduced to 3.0 Liters.

Additional modifications include an additional fuel pump and catch tank, a revamped intercooler and upgraded piping and suctions system. A flap-controlled exhaust can also be added. The latter allows the driver to control the output of the car, which can range from 500 HP (368kW) to an incredible 650 HP (478HP) sent to a 4-MOTION all-wheel-drive system.

The upgrade kit includes larger brakes, H&R stabilizers, Bilstein adjustable shocks, Bilstein adjust shocks, Recaro chairs, carbon tube to replace the rear seats, and a fire extinguisher.
