Its simple design conceals its practicality.
Americans love SUVs and crossovers. However, not all models are suitable for the US. The Venue is Hyundai’s smallest SUV, but Hyundai has a smaller SUV called the Casper. The Venue is smaller than this SUV, which explains why it’s not available in the US. However, a new video by Asian Petrolhead YouTube channel shows us the small SUV up close.
The Casper was unveiled earlier this month. It is a compact crossover that offers a surprising amount of safety and standard features. These include the forward-collision warning, lane-keep assistance, and high beam assist. With its round headlights, grille treatment and swathes black trim, the crossover’s design is fresh. Although the crossover’s small size does not detract interior comfort, its short overhands accent its bulkiness.
You can see that there is plenty of space for tall people in both the front and back seats. But the interior’s best trick is its versatility. To make large storage areas, all of the seats can fold flat. There are many other neat features in the interior, including a 4.0 inch digital instrument cluster, plenty of storage space neatly integrated into the dash, two cupholders with a cubby for your phone, and more. The Casper shown in the video features an upgraded interior that includes a large touchscreen infotainment screen. The standard screen is smaller.
The Casper shown in the video has an optional turbocharged version of the 1.0-liter engine that produces 98 horsepower (73 Kilowatts) as well as 126 pound-feet (170 Newton meters) of torque. The engine stock is a three-cylinder, naturally aspirated 1.0 liter unit that produces 75 horsepower (55 kW), and 70 lbft (95 Nm), of torque. Although the Casper is a great car, it’s not a high-performance vehicle even with the larger engine. Although rumors are circulating about an all-electric version, don’t be surprised if it doesn’t arrive in the US.
