Hyundai celebrates its history, which began last year with the Pony and Galloper display during the Hyundai Heritage Week.
The automaker did not stop there. The company displayed a commemorative display to celebrate the first mass-produced car. reinterpretation The Pony was presented as an EV concept at a design show by Hyundai Motorstudio Busan, “Reflections In Motion”. Yang Gu-rum (one of the designers) released these images on Instagram.
Although you may think this is a Pony-inspired vehicle, like the Hyundai45 Concept this first-generation compact car has been disassembled and rebuilt to include modern touches and an electric powertrain. The Pony EV Concept’s electric powertrain was not specified. However, design-wise it has modern lighting front and back. The headlights are shaped like the Ioniq 5’s. However, the rear lights are half-square.
Car and Driver’s insiders claim that Pony EV Concept’s exterior mirrors mounted on the fenders are camera-based. The instrument panel is reminiscent of the 1970s. Overall, however, we feel the reinterpretation of the original form is a nice touch.
You won’t find a Pony Electric Vehicle in your garage. This vehicle is a unique concept and was created to amaze the company’s visitors.
The concept is currently on display at the Hyundai Motorstudio in Busan, Korea’s second-largest city and most popular seaside resort. The concept will be on display until June 27, 2021. It will also be joined by other art pieces that are part of Hyundai’s vision for “Progress for Humanity.”
