Hyundai ProphecyN Is Tomorrow's Not-Real Performance Electric Vehicle

In this instance, N is for Nope. Or does it?

This is not an actual Hyundai car. It is, at least in part. We saw the Prophecy Concept revealed last month during the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. It is not likely that a Prophecy N will be announced, nor are Nexo N and Pallisade N. Hyundai posted images of all three vehicles on Instagram today. know that this is an April Fools joke. Or is it?

already discussed the Palisade, Nexo N and the Prophecy. But rather than dropping the Prophecy in that article, we’re going highlight this fake model for more scrutiny. Hyundai claimed that it was using April Fools Day to “look towards the future”. However, we are left wondering if there is more.

This is a smart win-win for South Korean automaker Hyundai. We’re shown a performance Hyundai, which already has a taste of performance due to its similarity to the Porsche Taycan. The post also asks if this could help the automaker achieve green performance. To be more precise, it could be “the one to guide us.” After all, we did see three N models today.

It’s a joke if it is, but what can you expect from April 1? It’s not a problem, but if it is more than that it would be a good way to test the waters for a high-performance electric vehicle than to conceal it with an April Fools Day posting. Hyundai is able to gain insight into whether or not there’s interest in such a machine.

Sometimes a cigar can be just that: a cigar. Although we haven’t seen the Prophecy Concept in real life, it is possible that this conspiracy theory is just as thin as a cigar. The Palisade has the best chance to receive the N treatment. However, that’s highly unlikely to happen. Long-term however, we see an electrified future, and that’s the domain of Prophecy.
