Ford is said to have confirmed Raptor’s moniker for the Bronco, according to a source close by Ford.
There is mounting evidence that this hybrid off-roader will sport Raptor badges, despite being referred to as Warthog for months. Our spy sources have confirmed that the Bronco Raptor will be called Ford.
Ford has not yet confirmed anything so it is still a rumor. This rumor is complicated by evidence supporting the Warthog name. Late 2020, a letter from a Ford supplier contained a specific reference to Bronco Warthog. Our spy photo sources confirm that the Raptor name is for Bronco. It’s not a reliable source, but it has been reliable in the past. This report is the 2nd such report we have in 24 hours. Take it all with a grain.
Let’s now take a look these spy photos, which are some of our best. Although this Bronco Warthog Raptor is still wearing heavy camouflage, the images are clear and close enough to see every detail. Although the widebody fenders are not visible, the photos show us how large this off-roader will look. The upgraded suspension is visible from both the front and back. The camera zooms in on grille. The covers have bold FORD letters, as you would see on the Raptor F150 and Ranger. We can’t see it here.
This Bronco, no matter its name, should be a beast of a machine. We should also remember that Ford introduced this new Bronco in 2019 as a Baja Racer. There is no doubt technology is embedded in Bronco at least to some extent, and this version shows that more. We should have all our questions answered by the end of this year.
