Could it be a cap that covers the lugs?
This is very fascinating. This is not the Lamborghini Urus. It’s definitely not boring, with 641 horsepower. The edgy styling of the car isn’t boring, but it’s certainly not boring with 641 horsepower. Lamborghini isn’t hiding anything. Any red on a wheel of black stands out in a big way. What do we see? Could these be centerlock wheels, or?
This is the consensus video from Varryx. This channel has many secret supercars, including camouflaged clips that show the Urus Evo. These black wheels have red centers for the first-time. But is this really the first time that we’ve ever seen them? These black spoked rims look very similar to spy photos of the Urus Evo. Only the camouflaged prototypes have an open center, which reveals a normal set lug studs.
Let’s now take a look at the wheels of this green Urus. These could be standard wheels with a dressed-up center cap.
Although centerlock wheels have performance benefits, they are only useful in racing environments. Even a tough-core Urus can be used as a family car, with its 5,000-pound SUV and usable back seats. They are difficult to remove with specialized tools because they have higher torque settings for the single central nut.
It’s difficult to imagine Lamborghini using centerlock wheels on an SUV, considering the benefits and drawbacks. There aren’t many street cars that use centerlock wheels for track purposes. It’s easier to conceal a standard multi-lug arrangement with clever center caps. This could be one option for the Urus Evo, which is expected to debut in 2022.
We’ve seen Lamborghini make some truly crazy vehicle designs before so we don’t rule anything out.
