It’s happening, and it will happen soon.
The Jake skull emblem is an iconic icon for both Chevrolet Corvette racing and the Corvette. It was first used by the motorsports team in 2005. It has served as a mascot in Corvette street racing teams and as an official Corvette Racing team mascot.
The Jake emblem is a skull and Corvette logo with crossed flags representing the eyes. It’s kind of like a punishment logo, but better.
The official Chevrolet accessories page has the latest Chevy accessories. These include premium all-weather floor liners ($195), and cargo liners ($135) for coupe and convertible models.
It turns out that the Jake emblem is coming back as stated by Harlan Charles, Corvette Product Manager at Carlisle (Facebook live embedded above this page).
Officially, the Jake logo will return to C8 Corvette pace car. It will be used for Indy 500 and IMSA races. The presentation shows that the pace car will feature Jake wheel center caps, Jake hood stripe and high wing spoiler. It also has carbon fiber ground effects and black trident tires.
Charles mentioned, more importantly, the return to production Corvette high wing and ground effect kit – which were dropped in May due high demand. According to the presentation, the addition of Jack Stinger Stripe was also mentioned.
We don’t have any details about the Jack Stinger Stripe yet, but we will be watching for new information as it becomes available. Watch this space if you want the iconic logo to appear on your Corvette’s mid-engine Corvette.
