Jay Leno’s Garage Gets Apocalypse Hellfire 6×6 As a Bonkers Jeep Gladiator Conversion

It’s a 6×6 true 6-cylinder with LS3 power, and a little bit of Tesla Cybertruck influence.

Apocalypse Manufacturing is looking to get in on the 6×6 action. You have probably seen a lot of them from Hennessey and Rezvani. Aftermarket specialist Jay Leno’s Garage has shown the Florida-based dealer’s Warlord 6×6, which is based on the Ram 1500TRX.

The company has built 78 Hellfire 6x6s. This truck is number 79. It features an LS3 engine that produces 500 horsepower. Buyers can also choose a Hellcat or a 3.0-liter twin turbo diesel for the low-end torque provided by an oil burner. The fully modified Gladiator, which rides on huge 40-inch tires is one of our favorite trucks.

It is just under 6,000 lbs (2,721 kg) in weight and features a 6×6 layout with an 8-speed automatic transmission borrowed form a RAM 3500 HD. Joseph Ghattas, owner of Apocalypse Manufacturing, says that a manual gearbox can be purchased, but due to the vehicle’s heavy weight and power, it will likely need to be replaced quite often.

Although the interior has been largely copied from the donor vehicle, the company can install an additional screen to capture footage taken by the night vision camera mounted on the top of the vehicle. The fastback-esque, enclosed back is based on the Tesla Cybertruck. It opens to reveal the bed and where an optional 40-gallon fuel container or water reservoir can be added.

The company has 10-15 frames and several engines, so delivery takes only three weeks. California is the largest market for the model, so it makes sense that the custom builder offers more sensible 38-inch tires than the chunky rubber intended for heavy-duty trucks.

The Hellfire 6×6 is ready for a zombie invasion. It transfers power to both rear axles, and the driver has the option to send some to the front. The Gladiator was given a lift kit (3.5″) and modified suspension to allow for more travel. This suspension is significantly raised at the rear.

Jay Leno admitted that the six-wheeled beast isn’t his favorite vehicle but he appreciated the idea and the result. The heavily modified Jeep feels sturdy.
