This low-mileage, two-year lease is available with $3500 down
The Jeep Gladiator could be a huge success for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles despite the higher price than other midsize pickup trucks. The 4,190 units sold out despite the fact that order banks for the $60,815 Launch Edition model weren’t open for more than a day. The Cars direct has some unexpected news just when it looked like the new truck was too expensive for many people. A Gladiator lease might be very affordable – really inexpensive.
A base Jeep Gladiator Sport model can be leased at $143 per month for a 2-year lease. This information was pulled directly from J ep’s online configurator. As of the article posting on April 24, this is the actual monthly payment. There is a lot of fine print. First, click on the information button next to the price. This screen explains that this is an estimation only. The demand could cause the price to rise, and we expect there will be substantial demand in the first few months.
The payment summary shows that the low-dollar lease requires $3,504 down payment and that the term is 24 months. CarsDirect further explained that the lease allows for only 10,000 miles per year. This is a difficult limit for most people. This seems like an incredible deal, even though taxes are not included. It’s easy to see that the Gladiator has a very high residual value, currently hovering at around 90%. Jeep believes that the Gladiator will still have a great value at the end the two-year lease. This is in comparison to other vehicles of the same age.
We were intrigued by this and decided to work with Gladiator’s configurator to build something better, with a more suitable lease term for daily-driver duties. We opted for the Sport and added the eight-speed manual to the vehicle. We added the trailer tow package, a spray-on mattress, and increased mileage to 12,000 per year, while lowering the down payment to $2,500. What did the result look like? The result? $230 per month. This will likely get you close to $250 after taxes are added.
This lease is not for $143, but it’s a more realistic Gladiator lease that includes common options and a shorter lease term. This could be a very affordable way to get one of the most exciting new pickup trucks in a long while.
