K5-Blazer-Style Chevrolet Tahoe on Sale, But It’s Not Cheap

This two-door SUV is a great buy.

Flat Out Autos, Jonesboro, Arkansas unveiled their heavily modified 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe LT Z71 in October 2017. Because it looked like a Chevy K5 Blazer, the exterior design quickly made it popular on the internet. This exact same example was on display at the 2021 SEMA and is now available for sale. There has been a lot of interest in this vehicle so far.

We’ve already reported that the body-on frame chassis of the Tahoe was reduced to fit the new two-door body. To replicate the original model, many body components were designed from scratch, including the grille, grille and headlights as well as the taillights, rear quarter panels front fenders, doors, bumpers and chrome tailgate. After the body was assembled, the SUV was given a complete repaint in metallic Blue with a white upper.

Although the interior is not based on the same vintage philosophy as the exterior, it is a well-maintained original Tahoe cabin from 2018. You’ll find nice amenities like power-adjustable front chairs and a folding back bench, lane-keeping assistance, rear-view camera, automatic climate control, and central touchscreen with navigation. Although the interior isn’t as cool as the exterior, it’s still a nice place.

The engine is a 5.3-liter V8 that produces 355 horsepower and 383 pounds of torque. It is available in stock and has a six speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels via a dual-range transfer box. The new owner can get the SUV on the roads easier thanks to a recent oil change.

This heavily modified Blazer-turned Tahoe is currently on sale for $61,500. There are approximately five days before the auction ends. We wouldn’t be surprised if the final price reaches $100,000 considering all the effort and time that went into this build.
