Karma gets revenge on driver who steals parking spot

Or, someone may have misunderstood the brake and gas pedals.

There’s always a way. This SUV driver was determined to get the spot in the garage. The driver actually ghosted another vehicle to get the spot and then crashed into a wall before he stopped. But did get the space.

Reddit sent us this short but entertaining video. But what you see is what your get. Although we don’t know where the parking error occurred, the Beh Chia Lo watermark on the video points towards Singapore. The video’s time stamp shows that it was October 29th. Some automotive research suggests that the SUV in question is a Nissan Kicks. Is this an innocent bystander? It would be a Toyota Prius.

Karma gets revenge on driver who steals parking spot

This clip is quite simple. Surveillance footage shows the Toyota driver slowing backing into an empty space at the top a ramp. The SUV appears in the frame a few seconds later. We think that the driver is slowing down. An obvious acceleration burst sends the Nissan through the Toyota into open space. But that’s not all. Based on how it bounces backwards, the Kicks went full and sent to that spot. The video ends with the Toyota driver staring straight at the Nissan, his hands on his hips as though to say instant Karma’s gonna get him.

But there’s more. Maybe. We wonder if it was an accidently misaligned pedal. As if letting go of the gas, the Nissan appears to slow down as it approaches the top of the ramp. The Toyota should have been visible before that point. It appears that the Nissan hits the Toyota as it speeds past. Although we could be foolish in our faith in humanity, it is hard to believe that a driver would make such a poor judgment call. Is it possible to mix up the throttle with the brake? It does happen, and it could be an plausible theory.

However, you should be safe and do not drive through crowded garages looking for empty spots.
