Lamborghini released details about the suspension on the LP700-4 ahead of its debut at Geneva Motor Show.
This is great news! A suspension will be available on the Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador – it’s a very advanced suspension.
The LP700-4, which draws inspiration from F1 cars has a pushrod spring/damper setup that is connected to the bodyshell structure. This transmits forces between the wheel mounts and the spring/damper elements. This increases stiffness, which can reduce spring rates to improve ride quality.
A steering system that “thinks its way around bends” is also available, as well as an aluminum double wishbone suspension that provides “race-car feel on the road with plenty of comfort for accelerating up the miles.”
The hydraulic lifting system allows the front axle to be lifted up to 40mm. This is a nod towards practicality. This prevents car’s underbelly from getting scratched when it enters parking garages or goes over speed bumps.
The LP700-4 also features 19-inch wheels at the front and 20 inches at the back. These wheels are supported by carbon ceramic brake discs measuring 400mm frontally and 380mm back.
