We are glad that this artist was brave enough to alter an iconic automotive vehicle.
Many would argue that the Miura Lamborghini’s most beautiful car is the Jaguar E-Type. Others even go so far as to claim it’s up there with the Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing and the Jaguar E-Type. Although it may be true, the Bertone-designed Countach will always be the most iconic of wedge-shaped supercars.
Lamborghini celebrates the automotive icon’s 50th year anniversary. An independent artist from ARC Design has created a vision of the legendary V12 machine for those roaring twenties. The Countach 50 is based on the Aventador and has a cleaner design.
The vehicle’s appearance can be modified to look like the earlier versions of the model, which were introduced in the long life span (1974-1990). The vehicle does this by electrically activating air inlets at its broad shoulders. An active spoiler on the rear enhances aerodynamics.
We love the way the artist cleverly integrated the third brake light into the engine cover. This is one design detail we particularly like. Although most renderings only show the exterior, we have a fully detailed cabin on the Countach 50. It is modeled after the Aventador models with a large touchscreen that’s portrait-oriented.
If Lamborghini’s new model for this summer is Countach-related, then it won’t be a full fledged tribute as the Sant’Agata Bolognase is done using the “pure V12”. The Ultimae will be the last naturally aspirated flavor in the twelve-cylinder Lambo.
