Lamborghini Diablo Lego Build Needs Your Help To Happen

This supercar build will only be possible with the support of 9,500+ supporters.

Apart from pop culture subjects and cars, plastic bricks can be used to build some of the most beautiful things. Lego has been making official builds of iconic vehicles like the Mini Cooper or Volkswagen Beetle for a while. The company offers sets for sports cars such as the Mercedes-AMG GT3, McLaren 720S and Nissan GT-R Niso, Ferrari 488 GT3, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and others.

There are so many cool cars you can build with Legos, but there is one automaker that’s not on the list. Where’s Lamborghini?

This may have been the question that Dani87 had in mind when he submitted a Lamborghini Diablo for the Lego Ideas project.

If Dani87’s project receives enough support over the next twelve months, the 90s icon that broke the 200-mile-per-hour barrier in production Lamborghini could be yours as a Lego set. You might be wondering how many? Before Lego can approve the project, it must have at least 10,000 supporters.

Why does it merit your support? Look at these photos.

The Diablo Lego model is based upon the 1999 limited-production GT. The details of the build are amazing, with opening scissor door, trunk, and hood. There is also a detailed V12 engine, interior, exterior stickers, and many chrome parts.

You can also choose the pre-facelift, pop-up headlights over the GT’s clear-glass version. You have the option to choose between a coupe or a roadster body. You can also customize the vehicle with two sets of spoilers or rims.

We car enthusiasts give this Lego build a thumbs-up. Register at Lego Ideas, search for the Diablo piece of art and vote for it to go ahead and be made into an official Lego set.
