Lamborghini to Unveil a New Model This Summer

What happens next after the Ultimae

Lamborghini is doing well recently. The press release by the Italian automaker, “The Best Six Months Ever,” reflects the brand’s success in the first half 2021. The Urus remains the most popular SUV, with 2,796 units sold. US remains the largest market for Sant’Agata Bolognese’s automaker. Next are mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

The brief press release contains a surprise: Lamborghini will unveil a new product this summer following the launch of the Aventador Ultimae.

Lamborghini confirmed that the Ultimate would the last pure V12 vehicle. However, we are now guessing which Lambo will be revealed in the coming months. This year, the automaker confirmed that would be releasing a pair V12-powered vehicles. The Ultimae is out, so what’s next?

We must take a trip down memory lane to remind ourselves that this year, the legendary Countach will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Lamborghini is releasing a model in celebration of the 1971 birth of the LP500 concept.

If this is the case, the new model will follow the Miura Homage’s footsteps – the limited Aventador-based model that was launched in 2016 and celebrated the golden anniversary. It’s often referred to as Lamborghini’s first supercar.

Take our assumption with a grain, as it’s not confirmed. Lamborghini confirmed its bid to enter the electrified age with plans to hybridize all models before 2024, and to launch a new EV in 2025. The automaker’s launch this summer will be remembered as the last bull before charging ports and batteries.
