We’ve seen several renders of a Defender from the IG account over the past few days and couldn’t resist sharing them. This is a Defender. The attention to detail is amazing. It’s incredible how natural the conversion looks with the windshield and front seats positioned forward of the hood. It looks great for an adventure vehicle that is off the beaten path.
We are aware that some might find it offensive to convert a Defender into a minibus-style cab-over vehicle. We don’t consider this an insult to the Defender’s legacy. Few vehicles have enjoyed such loyal followings in motoring history. It’s a clever combination of #vanlife and adventurous overlanding. All wrapped up in a cute package that can take you almost anywhere.
Was there a reason for this creation? Although Instagram doesn’t explain the process, it is described as a “dream for campers and adventurers” in its description. It would be crazy mobile in off-road conditions, thanks to its large roof rack and Defender-style wheelbase. We are afraid to imagine the maintenance nightmares that would await the driver and passengers if the engine is hidden under the interior.
