Jaguar Land Rover is having a difficult time lately. The British manufacturer is still recovering from the coronavirus outbreak . even considering dropping some of its models. Shijie Yu is a talented transportation designer from Los Angeles. The futuristic utility that you see in this gallery and the video at the end of this article is his work. His career shows that he has been an intern at many automakers including Jaguar Land Rover, where he worked on “advanced exterior and interior design” at the Shanghai design center. This explains his most recent personal project, a 3D model of the next-generation Range Rover.

Although the virtual vehicle appears modern, it is instantly recognisable as a Range Rover. This is due to the shape and size of the C-, D-pillars and the taillights. This luxury SUV’s traditional design features are combined with bold solutions like suicide doors and a front grille that is hidden beneath a glass panel.

The cabin is spacious and comfortable, making it even more enjoyable. Smart solutions are used to mix what may seem like high-quality materials with clever ones such as shoe storage under the driver’s chair, a suit storage compartment folded into the trunk, and a small folding seat for the rear passengers.

Yu explains how the cabin layout was created. “This concept allows users to seamlessly switch between social roles for different occasions with enough storage space to store their clothes and dresses.” This project is more about the interior design. The combination of future technology and classic luxury will be the main theme.
