Lexus to Launch Tiny Crossover Based on Toyota Yaris Cross

It is expected to be below the UX.

Lexus may be making a small crossover based upon the Toyota Yaris Cross. This is the latest rumor that has emerged from Japan, specifically Magazine. It was spilled by Lexus Enthusiast.

According to Japanese magazines, the small crossover will fit below the UX and will use the GA-B platform. It will be sold in the same markets as the Yaris Cross, specifically Australia, Japan, and Europe. The vehicle’s 1.5-liter three-cylinder hybrid engine will power it, according to the lifted Yaris.

However, we recommend that you keep your skepticism up, even though this isn’t the first time we’ve heard similar rumors.

A trademark for the “LBX”, and “Lexus LBX names was filed in Europe almost a year ago. It was thought to be the name the next Lexus crossover, which will fit below the UX. Its naming convention makes it likely that it will become a concept. However, we are yet to see if this assumption is true.

Another rumor was circulated in May 2020. It stated that the small Yaris Cross-based crossover underneath the UX would be called Lexus BX. This rumor is supposedly due in 2023.

These rumors are true? We are just as confident as you in your guess, but given the popularity of SUVs and crossovers, it is not surprising that Toyota will make another luxury model to expand its high-rider range. Our sights are set on the AudiQ2, and the BMWX1.

For any further developments, we’ll be keeping an eye on the ground so keep us informed.
